How Much is a Facelift?

Facelift
Are skincare products and med spa treatments no longer enough to keep your wrinkles and sagging facial skin at bay? If you want to erase signs of aging with more dramatic, long-lasting results, it may be time for a facelift.
What is a Facelift (Rhytidectomy)?
A facelift, also called rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic procedure that aims to improve signs of aging on the face and neck. Our skin loses elasticity and firmness as we age, leading to wrinkles, sagging skin, and jowls. A facelift tightens the underlying muscles and tissues of the face and removes excess skin to create a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
Dr. Coville at Cornerstone Plastic Surgery can customize the procedure to address your specific concerns, such as deep wrinkles, loose skin around the eyes, or a sagging jawline. Many patients have a facelift performed simultaneously with other procedures, such as an eyelid lift, neck lift, or facial fat transfer. Depending on your unique procedure, we may use local or general anesthesia.
How Much Does a Facelift Cost?
Like any cosmetic procedure, the cost of a facelift varies based on several factors, such as your geographic location and the surgeon’s experience. The average price of a facelift in the U.S. is approximately $8,000. However, this estimate doesn’t include all associated costs, such as facility fees and anesthesia.
How extensive the procedure is will also affect the price. Since Dr. Coville performs each operation according to the patient’s unique needs, a consultation is the best way to know how much your facelift might cost.
Benefits of a Facelift
If you want to rejuvenate your face for a more youthful, refreshed appearance, a facelift is arguably the most effective way to refresh and rejuvenate your look. Unlike non-surgical treatments, a facelift can offer dramatic and long-lasting results. Benefits of a facelift with Dr. Coville include:
- Personalizable treatment tailored to your needs
- Visible improvements within one week
- Dramatic but natural-looking results so you look like yourself, just younger
- Results that last ten years or more
What to Expect After a Facelift
You’ll be able to go home on the same day of your surgery with a friend or family member. We will lightly bandage your face and give you and your carer instructions on changing those bandages and managing your incisions. The worst of the swelling and bruising should subside within ten days. Patients typically return to work within one to two weeks.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Facelift?
A facelift may be the answer if you’re looking for an effective, lasting facial rejuvenation. Ideal facelift candidates are overall healthy non-smokers with realistic expectations for the procedure. A facelift is typically performed on patients in their 40s to 60s but can also benefit older patients.
